What’s your learning style?

Owner education options to fit every learning style.

There are many different styles of learning that appeal to different personality types and learning preferences. Some people learn better by watching, some by reading, some by listening, and some by doing. This is true not only in school, but in all aspects of life.

If you need to learn a new skill, chances are you’re aware of your own learning preferences and will find a way to learn new skills using your preferred learning style. That can be true for learning more about your WorldMark ownership, too.

Defining your learning style.

VARK is a method that has helped to define different learning styles and can help individuals pinpoint their own learning preferences. VARK is an acronym that defines the four primary learning styles:

V = Visual
A = Aural
R = Reading/writing
K = Kinesthetic

Most people have at least one primary or dominant preferred learning style, although some people do have one or more secondary styles that work for them. VARK has a handy online quiz you can take to help you pinpoint your preferred learning style, if you’re not already aware of what it is.

Once you’ve established your dominant learning style, it’s easy to find club education options that fit your preferred style.

Visual.

If you’re a visual learner, you probably learn best from watching a recorded demonstration of the thing you’re trying to learn. When it comes to club education, pre-recorded webinars and educational videos are just the ticket for you. These education options allow you to watch and learn straight from the experts on your Club Education team, including the ability to pause, rewind, and replay to make sure you get all the info you’re looking for.

Aural.

Aural learners tend to learn best with live, person-to-person instruction. Your Club Education team offers live webinars on a variety of WorldMark topics, and these sessions include the opportunity to ask questions and get them answered on the spot, which really comes in handy for aural learners. Additionally, if you really want to talk to someone in person, the Annual Owner Meeting has a live owner education session and owner’s forum. You can register to attend that session in-person or virtually right here on your owner website.

Reading/writing.

Some of you may prefer to read and/or write in order to learn and retain information, and if that’s your preferred learning style, you’ll really love reading educational articles here on your owner website. New topics are regularly published on your online News page, and the How to navigate your website page has an entire catalog of club education topics for you to browse and read at your leisure, 24/7.

Kinesthetic.

Kinesthetic learners learn best by doing. Sometimes the best way to learn something new is just to dive in and wing it until you figure it out. If you’re a kinesthetic learner, you may just have to dive in and book online in order to learn how to book online or go ahead and give the waitlist a try in order to learn how to use the waitlist. If you’re ready to dive in and learn a new skill, start by visiting the Search resorts page. See if you can walk through your first booking, one step at a time. Your owner website is pretty intuitive, so you’re very likely to figure it out without too much difficulty.

No matter your learning style, WorldMark has a club education option that fits your unique learning needs. And don’t forget, anytime you have questions or get stuck, you can call the Vacation Planning Center for assistance. Check out these handy club education options and you’ll be a WorldMark pro in no time!
